DeLashea Strawder is the Associate Artistic Director and Director of Music Programs for the internationally acclaimed creative youth development organization,
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, where she has devoted her skill and her leadership to engaging, transforming an inspiring a new generation of leaders and advocates for the arts for the last 12 years. 

A champion of arts and culture and its' inherent ability to motivate, empower and mobilize, Mrs. Strawder’s professional journey has afforded her opportunities to conduct choirs on national and international stages, work in tour & festival coordination, as well as, use her passion for music to equip classroom teachers with arts infused education tools to deepen student learning and retention.


With arts as the motivating catalyst, Strawder is motivating youth and communities to be the change that they want to see in the world.  Strawder has a unique understanding of the challenges faced by the creative and the youth development sector and uses her skills and experiences to help young people discover, strengthen and apply artistic skills they learn through mastery in the arts to academic subjects and real world experiences. 

A graduate of Wayne State University, Strawder has employed her knowledge of music, business and education to successfully design and implement customized programs, curriculum and events for organizations of various sizes, contributing to their success and sustainability  agents for a brighter future while promoting scholarship and global citizenship.
